The most recent company to take a stab at the concept is Sightmark with the announcement of the Wraith Mini 2-16\u00d735 Thermal Riflescope.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><noscript><\/noscript><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"517\" src=\"https:\/\/gundigest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Sightmark-Wraith-mini-thermal-feature.jpg\" alt=\"Sightmark-Wraith-mini-thermal-feature\" class=\"lazyload wp-image-289097\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gundigest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Sightmark-Wraith-mini-thermal-feature.jpg 800w, https:\/\/gundigest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Sightmark-Wraith-mini-thermal-feature-300x194.jpg 300w, https:\/\/gundigest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Sightmark-Wraith-mini-thermal-feature-768x496.jpg 768w, https:\/\/gundigest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Sightmark-Wraith-mini-thermal-feature-696x450.jpg 696w, https:\/\/gundigest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Sightmark-Wraith-mini-thermal-feature-650x420.jpg 650w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\"\/><\/figure>\n<p>The optics in Sightmark\u2019s Wraith riflescope line were already capable of seeing in the dark thanks to their built-in CMOS sensors and IR illuminators, but the new Wraith Mini Thermal takes things to a new level. The digital night vision capabilities of existing Wraith models were only usable at night, and during the day, users were stuck with a standard digital scope. Because the new model instead features a 384\u00d7288 resolution thermal sensor and five thermal color palette display modes, it\u2019s usable at any time of day for hunting any kind of game. On the good side, users can insert a micro-SD card to record their shots, can store five firearm profiles on the unit and can choose between a wide variety of reticle and color options.
